Force Effect
Biography
Force Effect

Through the looking glass, this accelerating world is certainly not what it seems. But along came Force Effect, deciphering underlying realities and raising questions to the tune of its electrostatic beats, gritty and enigmatic lyrics, and ethereal waves of euphoria. A force to be reckoned with.

Force Effect exploded onto the music scene in 2007 with 'The Violent Truth,' its debut single released through all major digital music stores, including iTunes internationally. The single features four genre-spanning remixes done by Force Effect as well, which are all infused into the primary mix for a truly genre-defying end result. As deep-voiced lyrics take the driver's seat, the track contains elements of big-beat, dark house, drum'n'bass, glitch, ambient, trance, and industrial, somehow miraculously wrapped in traditional song structure.

Pushing the envelope even further, Force Effect kicks off the Spring 2008 season with Kill the TV, a new EP that screams outrage against the hypnosis of one of the most powerful propaganda forces out there. This atomic bomb was first dropped in gritty Mid-Western bars, overwhelming crowds in the shadows and strobe lights of a secret early AM live performance, later given a final mix and mastering at Sweetwater Productions' new world class recording studio designed by Russ Berger. Combining massive big-beats and high-impact bass with such insanity as an overdriven Mrs Mills upright piano previously recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, Force Effect once again captivates the ear and challenges the mind.

Based in the United States of America, Force Effect is both a band and an independent record label by songwriter / producer / vocalist Xander Davis.

But Xander prefers to let the symbol of Force Effect stand front and center, wanting the music and its message to be the focus. Is this why his own face is censored? Perhaps it is a statement against the deterioration of free speech? Or is it for his own protection? Force Effect, like anyone going against the grain, is in risky territory.

Is this electronica or finally the next generation of rock? At last, cyber-punk becomes a music genre. This is about high-tech revolution from The People, and there'll be nothing quiet about it. We are all Force Effect.

So does this pixelated face really represent a vacuum of identity that you yourself can fill? Is there a shade of Force Effect within all of us? Force Effect thinks so. And if you think, you are.

Force Effect Hazard Symbol

THE FORCE EFFECT HAZARD SYMBOL

The Force Effect hazard symbol was designed by the Cultural Monitor Initiate to caution the populace against "dangerous open thought." It is a juxtaposition and abstraction of the English characters F and E, stamped onto all pieces of art that might "dramatically force an effect on the human psyche by inspiring new ideas and influences." As this hazard sign became increasingly stamped on all art, there were those in the population who saw it as not a warning sign, but instead as a symbol placed on anything of true value. It became the new dollar sign for the currency of tomorrow's generations: free will.
